I don't understand how life allows someone to wake up and say good morning to you like normal, but in the course of a few hours never be able to say it again.
I don't understand how people can think back to when they were a certain age and how they've grown since then, and realize a child was denied the opportunity to do the same.
I don't understand how something so tragic is capable of happening to someone so young and innocent without warning.
I don't understand how a simple day of fun and relaxation at the beach with friends can turn into a nightmare effecting more people than you can imagine.
I just don't understand what is wrong with this world and this generation...
I don't understand how someone can choose to settle a dispute by planning and attempting to take their life.
I don't understand how in such cases someone would choose to make this "consequence" so impersonal as pulling a trigger from a distance.
I don't understand what happened to the days of sword fighting and hand to hand combat where at least you had to WORK hard and TRAIN to reach your desired result. (Maybe even allow your opponent time to regret it.)
I don't understand how someone can open fire at a crowded beach full of families and friends for something as stupid and elementary as "gang territory" or a "look".
I don't understand how people with guns are able to kill and injure those who are not their intended target and leave the scene with no guilty conscience...What kind of monster are you?
Even worse:
I don't understand how people can stand around in the face of those bleeding and in pain to capture their agony and those around them on video.
I don't understand how someone's pain can be a source of entertainment...
I don't understand how any human can even fathom the thought to pull out their phones and cameras in the wake of such a critical situation.
I don't understand how these "camera men" can see people laying out on the ground, and laugh and say things like "Niggas just don't know how to act."
I don't understand how ignorant people can go online to view these videos and post comments bragging about which city drops more bodies everyday and how the "few" lives effected here "aint sh*t" or how "Hardcore" the guys who did it were and why they love NY.
I don't understand how arguments are taking place over how "typical and animalistic" this is of the black race vs. the "less frequent" crimes committed by other races.
I don't understand how people can comment on the video that they are pleased to see the "black monkeys" wiping themselves out without help and that's what they get and deserve...
You just watched a video of someone DYING and this is the best you can come up with to say? I don't think I've ever been so utterly disgusted with the human race as I am now. Beyond the fact that my baby cousin is no longer with us because of something so FUCKING STUPID...I am disappointed that where there was at least a tiny glimmer of hope that people would recognize the senselessness of all this unnecessary crime and violence (a wake up call if you will), they missed the whole damn point...
Please people, do what you can to stop the cycle of violence. Try to help those who you see are at-risk of their environment. Don't stand by and watch these children grow up to become heartless killers. You never know who's life you might be able to touch...or save.
